Sanctuary Garden y Machupicchu

The next place will be Q'ANABAMBA, “Green Prairie”, located around kilometer 85,4 of the railroad, after to visit it, we will continue until arriving at PINCHAUNUYUQ, archaeological group that is located around kilometer 87, closely together of the Vilcanota river, also we will see called place WAYRACPUNKU " Door of the Wind" , that is located 2605 m.s.n.m.

Continuing our trip, we will arrive at Q' ORIWAYRACHINA, at an altitude of 2.520 m.s.n.m, and we will cross a river by a suspension bridge, to later arrive at the Q´ENTE camping, where we will rest and have lunch.

Until this place, the whole distance will be of about 7 km approximately in a time of long walk of 4 hours and degree of difficulty of moderate to slight. After a brief rest, we got ready to reinitiate our route 13.30 The long walk is reinitiated, by the left margin of the river and in sense in opposition to its course. Crossing the Cusichaca river and by lands of the community of Chamana we ascend until finding the traditional Inca trail, by who we pass by a brief stretch of around 200 mts. Until arriving at WILLKARAQAY, (Sacred Shed). This is a strategic archeological place in the valley of Cusichaca located at 2790 m.s.n.m. Alter that we descend to PATALLAQTA (High Town) known also as Q’entemarka (place of the picaflor) archeological complex with more than 100 buildings.

Next we go to PULPITUTYOQ, name of an Inca altar located in the oriental side of Paltallacta at 2500 m.s.n.m. After that we return to the Qente camping. Whole distance approx 4, 5 km Time of long walk 4 hrs. Degree of difficulty: slight to arduous.

Second Day

7.00 Breakfast

8.00 We start the walking since the camping by the left side of the river, passing by MACHUQ’ENTE. 2 km away from there is WAYNAQ’ÈNTE, one of the most beautiful archeological complex of the Sanctuary. Then we return to the camp.

Whole distance aprox 4 km. Time of walk: 4 hrs. Degree of difficulty: high till WAYNAQ’ÈNTE, the rest slight.

12.30 Lunch.

1.30 The long walk is started again crossing the bridge towards the right margin of the Urubamba river, and continuous river down until TORONTOY, archaeological complex characterized to have constructions finely worked, and with the presence of a block of stone that serves as wall and windows and that have 40 angles, the same is united with other 28 stones. Since there we return to the camp.

Whole distance aprox 6.5 Km. Degree of difficulty slight. Time of walk 4.5 hrs.

Third Day

5.30 Breakfast

6.15 Take the train to Machu Picchu.

Ascent in bus until the archaeological complex of Machu Picchu. The excursion includes guided tour of the Citadel, visiting the Main Place, the Circular Tower, the Sacred Solar Clock, the real quarters, the temple of the Three Windows and the cemeteries. We will have free time to cross the archeological complex and to delight to us with the place. Soon we initiated the return to lunch and to approach the train of return to the Cusco. Arrival to Cusco and transfer to the hotel.
